The Design

• PERFORMANCE MEETS DESIGN: The modern concept of a dynamic blend of sports and touring motorcycle is demonstrated visually too, by means of a half fairing featuring symmetrical headlamps derived from two generations of the RR. The elegantly shaped handlebar unit with attached forged aluminum section perfectly combines function and ergonomics.
• DYNAMIC UNLEASHING OF POWER: The sports touring bike derives its supreme power from an output of 125 hp (92 kW) delivered by an air/liquid-cooled 2-cylinder 4-stroke boxer engine with two overhead spur gear driven camshafts and a counterbalance shaft. In order to ensure stability on every country road, ASC (Automatic Stability Control) is featured as standard. Engine modes "Rain" and "Road" - likewise standard - provide an optimum riding experience.

• STUB HANDLEBAR LOOK: High agility, perfectly in your hands. The short handlebars protrude as little as possible from behind the slim front trim panel: for a sporty and comfortable seating position with optimal wind protection.
• ADJUSTABLE WINDSCREEN: More comfort and protection for riders big and small – especially on long tours: the windscreen can be adjusted by hand by up to 3.1 in.
• SEATING COMFORT: The very high seating comfort of the R 1200 RS is particularly advantageous on longer dynamic rides. And your passenger will also be thrilled about the generous freedom of movement.
• SLIPSTREAM DEFLECTOR: Special side slipstream deflectors reduce the draught for noticeably more comfort. In addition, these flaps also protect you from getting wet during rainfall.
• UPSIDE-DOWN TELESCOPIC FORK: The upside-down telescopic fork with 1.8 in diameter ensures precise feedback together with the particularly rigid steering head.
• CASE AND TOPCASE: Well-thought out luggage solutions ensure that your tour will be just as comfortable as it is sporty.
